Multiplication chart, 1 to 30
Thirty rows by thirty columns: 900 products, the largest 900, set at 7.48 point. It is the largest multiplication chart this press will put on a sheet of A4.
What this table holds
900 products in a thirty by thirty grid, the smallest 1 and the largest 900 in the far corner. With the two header strips counted, 960 numerals are set at 7.48 point inside 64 ruled lines, all of it on one sheet of A4. The chart to twelve rules 28 lines on the same paper; this one rules more than twice that number.
Of the 900 products, 308 are distinct, barely more than a third. The share falls as the chart grows: 59 of 144 on the chart to twelve, 152 of 400 on the chart to twenty, 308 of 900 here. A bigger grid does not just repeat itself across the diagonal, it also holds more numbers that can be factored several ways over, and each of those turns up in more than one pair of cells.
Taking it
PDF, PNG or SVG. The range, the paper, the orientation and the blank cells are settings on the page. At this size the vector file is worth a thought: an SVG holds its lines at any scale, where a PNG of a thirty by thirty grid has to settle its resolution in advance.
The end of the paper
This is the largest multiplication chart the press will set, and the honest description of it is that it sits at the limit rather than comfortably inside it. The numerals are at 7.48 point, less than half the fifteen point of the chart to twelve, and there are 960 of them between 64 ruled lines on a single sheet. The paper is the same paper every other chart here is set on, whatever is asked of it.
Past this the press declines. A chart to forty or to fifty is no harder to compute, since products are only products and the browser would finish either of them in an instant. The refusal is about the sheet. The type would come out smaller than 7.48 point, and the file would be exact, complete and unreadable, so the press would rather have no page for a chart to fifty than hand over one nobody can read. There is accordingly no page for it, and no setting that will make one.
If you set the range past thirty and the chart will not be drawn, that is the reason, and it is not a fault in the file you asked for.
